Happy May! We hope you're enjoying the slew of Bank Holidays this month (if you'd like to come Glamping for the end of May BH we have a couple of tents left...!)
We're SO happy to have opened our doors for this season on May 1st and have been thoroughly enjoying our first week open again with some lovely new guests as well as some lovely returning guests!
One thing we've been super stoked for everyone to see is our NEW HIVE!
If you haven't visited before, the Hive is our communal kitchen and is the central point of our site. For the past 5 years it's taken the form of an Italian Army tent, but now we can unveil our new structure!
It's better in windy and wet conditions (because Glamping in the UK always carries that risk!), allowing for a cosy evening in playing board games or sipping beverages. It boasts an impressive list of facilities including:
2 x gas burner cookers
1 x hand washing sink
multiple opening windows
6 big cupboards (housing the pots/pans/plates/mugs etc. and with enough room for you to store food safely too)
7 metres of worktop
4 x picnic benches (one for each tent)
lighting
a kettle
tea/coffee/sugar
oil/salt/vinegar
2 x fridges
rubbish and recycling bins
and more!
Outside there are BBQs, more benches and a fire pit, for fresh air cooking, eating and the all important marshmallow toasting!
We hope the Hive will be a great space for you and your family or group to use to cook, eat, socialise, relax and enjoy during your stay at Bumblebarn.
